We could not find a Doris Day song beginning with ¡Èx and z¡É, however it is notable that all of the tracks on this CD made the charts, three of them reaching the number one spot. Doris Day was born Doris Kappelhoff in Cincinnati on April 3rd 1922. She sang briefly with Bob Crosby and his Orchestra in 1940 till she joined Les Brown and his band. Doris notched up a dozen record hits with Les, including Sentimental Journey and My Dreams Are Getting Better All The Time, both No.1s, making her the band¡Çs biggest star. Going solo in 1947, she became a one of America¡Çs biggest singing stars. Her solo career took off in 1948 with You¡Çre My Thrill and she became a box office movie star of the late 1950s and the early 1960s, starring in such diverse movies as Hitchcock¡Çs ¡ÈThe Man Who Knew Too Much¡É to ¡ÈCalamity Jane¡É with numerous others between. Doris had her own TV show from 1968 to 1973 which was extremely popular.
