The tracks on this CD compilation were originally released on two Audio Fidelity LP albums, #1-8 on AFSD 5875, and #9-18 on AFLP 1874. These are the only recordings in these two albums to feature Scott LaFaro. As a bonus, we have also included two piano solos (#19-20) from AFSD 5875.
Despite it has often been stated that the drummer on these sessions was Gene Gammage, according to Bev Kelly it was Johnny Whited, Pat Moran's regular drummer.
